CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–11.2 Ventures is pleased to announce that Sudhir Ravi, Operating Partner at TJM Capital Partners, will be bringing his technical expertise and entrepreneurial energies to the Chicago-based venture builder studio (VBS). With over 25 years as a startup founder, enterprise sales leader, and investor across several verticals, Ravi has amassed an impressive track record of commercializing and implementing AI, IoT, and analytics across a portfolio of companies.

Dmitry Valbe, 11.2 Ventures Co-founder and CTO, stated, “Sudhir’s experience in successfully building and exiting companies will be invaluable to our AI-focused venture studio. We currently have eight companies in production across multiple industries. His experience in commercializing technical products should greatly decrease their expected times to exit.”

Prior to his work in private equity, Sudhir helped bring several startups from the pre-product, pre-revenue phase to market; he also drove digital transformation at a Fortune 250 company while maintaining or exceeding regular revenue targets. He commented that, “In all of my past positions my focus has been on applying data in the most transformative, useful ways possible. In addition to creating value and realizing revenue, however, I have always aimed to foster cultures of excitement, collegiality, and continued innovation.”

11.2 Ventures deploys the disciplines of artificial intelligence, natural language processing and understanding, econometrics, and computer vision to diversified products. The breadth of Sudhir’s experience and skills—along with his orientation toward positive, continuously improving company culture—is a strong fit with the Chicago VBS’s approach. As 11.2 Ventures Co-founder Kurt Johnson put it, “It’s not often you get to sign an all-star to your team. That’s what we have just done with Sudhir coming aboard 11.2 Ventures. We can’t wait to see what the future brings.”

About 11.2 Ventures

Building a diversified group of Artificial Intelligence-based companies internally, 11.2 Ventures maintains control and consistency throughout the companies’ growth process and exits them opportunistically. 11.2 Ventures has spent over four years developing an innovative methodology designed to increase the probability that these early-stage ventures will be viable. Borrowing heavily from corporate processes and financial services risk management approaches, 11.2 Ventures has found the formula for consistent and repeatable success.
