Xcelerate is a sustainable transportation company that provides funding support and ancillary products to Tesla and other emerging electric vehicle manufacturers.
“Downtown historic McKinney is the perfect location for us to base our headquarters in,” KJ Gimbel, founder and CEO of Xcelerate, said in the release. “The city has a history of fostering innovative companies like ours and we couldn’t be happier to give back by supporting community events, providing charging infrastructure to the city and becoming a destination for consumers and businesses to transition into the sustainable future. We simply can’t wait to put McKinney on the [electric vehicle] map.”
Xcelerate relocated this summer from Frisco to its new headquarters at 300 E. Davis St., McKinney, at the new Common Desk space. Xcelerate is one of the many tech companies that have recently announced their expansion or relocation into McKinney via the McKinney Economic Development Corp.’s Innovation Fund; other startups like Alanna.ai, MyTelemedicine and ContraForce also recently opened headquarters in the city.
“We are so excited to partner with Xcelerate Auto on their relocation to McKinney,” said Mike DePaola, director of technology and research at the McKinney Economic Development Corp., in the release. “The Xcelerate team has been great to work with and we are looking forward to seeing them scale.”
