Expert Imaging and Sound Awards, also known as EISA, is an association of 60 specialty electronics magazines and websites from 29 countries. EISA member magazines choose award winners after they review and test thousands of products. Award winners are considered the best in their category over the year.

The EISA awards are currently in their 41st year, with their membership including leading audio journalists from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Award results are widely regarded as one of the highest honors in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products must undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. After intensive testing and audition at the facilities of EISA member magazines, each journalist submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category. The second stage takes place at EISA’s annual General Meeting, where a democratic voting process establishes a consensus of excellence and determines the winning products.
