“I focus on workload migration and solving specific challenges customers face during their cloud journey. My strategy suits each organization’s needs because no cloud migrations are identical. In recent months, I have noticed an increased demand for skills training in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, which have certainly become the two most critical areas of skills shortage in organizations in the United States.” he shares.
The Global Recognition Award also highlights Gene Schank’s success in orchestrating technical designs and driving technical consulting — two skills he honed during his previous tenure at Infosys.
Before his current role, Gene Schank spent nearly a decade as a cloud architecture consultant at Infosys. His proposal and lead generation proficiency were invaluable in the company’s critical role in implementing cloud solutions for some of the largest S&P 500 clients.
Another critical achievement of the awardee at Infosys was leading cross-functional teams of over 50 engineers and stakeholders. His ability to successfully implement technical solutions is also underscored by his delivery of over 12 projects on time and within budget.
Additionally, Mr. Schank demonstrated leadership in cross-departmental initiatives. For a client in the specialty chemicals industry, he directed the rollout of cloud-based solutions across approximately 20 teams. This implementation, using both AWS and Azure, resulted in a 30 percent improvement in system efficiency and a 25 percent reduction in time to market.
Moreover, Gene Schank guided a cross-functional initiative combining software development, marketing and reporting, and sales and support teams. This effort led to three major software releases in 12 months. Each release was under budget and ahead of schedule, improving operational efficiency by 25 percent.
