A financial technology company has moved its headquarters to downtown York.
CampusDoor, which employs more than 100 full-time employees occupies more than 25,000 square feet of office space at 210 York St., which is adjacent to PeoplesBank Park. CampusDoor is a third-party loan origination platform and is moving its headquarters from Ritner Highway in Carlisle.
“This is a very exciting time for CampusDoor,” Steve Winnie, CEO of CampusDoor said. “As we looked around at communities for our company’s headquarters, downtown York is a perfect fit.”
The 27-year-old company said it has processed more than $26 billion in private student loan requests, assisted more than 2.2 million borrowers and supports more than 1,000 unique loan programs.
“Our mission is to increase everyone’s access to a college or trade school education regardless of their economic circumstances,” Winnie said. The company plans to offer internships and summer employment opportunities for local students, which can they say can lead to long-term careers at CampusDoor.
The company announced the move at a press conference on Tuesday with the York County Economic Alliance. CampusDoor moved to the new location las month.
“We are ecstatic to welcome CampusDoor to the York community,” Kevin Schreiber, president and CEO of the York County Economic Alliance said. “We have spent this past year working closely with Steve Winnie and his team to find the right home for their company. During that time, we witnessed firsthand they’ve made themselves quickly at home here in York.”
