LOKLiK, the well-known innovative leader in the DIY industry, held a cloth-makeover workshop with the crafting studio Wander Warehouse on June 22, 2024, in Thailand. The transformed clothing and hats, alongside collected idle clothes from the company, were donated to the Mirror Foundation, a non-profit welfare organization dedicated to community welfare projects. This event showcases that LOKLiK is putting definitive action behind the LOKLiK Care Project to environmental friendliness while attracting great social attention to depressed communities.
At this workshop, “Remake with LOKLiK,” the company invited 30 craft enthusiasts to the Wander House, where they could DIY and transform their used clothes and hats under professional onsite guidance from studio employees. Moreover, as the main leader and organizer, LOKLiK provided abundant crafting materials, tools, and advanced crafting machines to deliver an exceptional and fulfilling crafting experience.
Among these highly-performed machines, the LOKLiK Crafter™ earned major favor from the participants along with its auxiliary software, the LOKLiK IdeaStudioTM. “It really speeds up the whole image editing and cutting process. The massive image resources inside the app and the super quietness of the cutting machine really impress me!” One participant praised. Meanwhile, LOKLiK’s ace heat press portfolio, LOKLiK ImPressTM Hat, Mini, and Easy, designed to work with various substrates via fast and even heat, enabled more efficient and professional heat transfer results.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to join the workshop. It enlightens me with more than the idea of recycling unwanted clothes through crafting; it also improves my hands-on skills!” most attendees commented. This workshop not only helped refresh their understanding of craftmanship but also motivated them to commence better living styles of sustainability and eco-consciousness.
Furthermore, LOKLiK advocated people’s social responsibility by encouraging clothes donations crafted onsite and collecting idle clothes as addition of supplies towards the Mirror Foundation, a local non-profit organization that focuses on disaster management, sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development. These clothes were meant to improve the conditions of impoverished local families and communities, demonstrating LOKLiK’s commitment to public welfare service and ESG principles.
Piriya, the head of Wander Warehouse, expressed sincere appreciation for this collaboration. She emphasized that this event is an important driving force to boost the spread of green living and eco-friendly concepts. In addition to inspiring creativity with such intelligent products and abundant designs, “Remake with LOKLiK” also opened a window for more communities to engage in public service programs through innovations.
“Thanks to the support from Wander Warehouse, we’re allowed to put more meaningful ideas into reality with a bunch of lovely people and show our care for vulnerable groups. Via these global crafting events, we hope to call on more and more actions based on the concept of ESG strategy and empower an increasing joint effort on environment, society, and governance,” said Herman, the CEO of LOKLiK.
This upcycling event in Thailand marks another significant step in LOKLiK’s global crafting project. And it’s looking forward to seeing more achievements along the LOKLiK Care journey.
