Several neighborhood Dallas ISD schools are advancing to state and world competitions for robotics.

The following schools are among those heading to the VEX Robotics World Championship in May at the Dallas Convention Center:

  • Casa View Elementary
  • Alex Sanger Preparatory (elementary- and middle-school students)
  • Robert T. Hill Middle School

Sanger students competed in the competition last year, which was held virtually. They used cameras to capture their activities and communicate with other teams.

And Woodrow is one of five DISD schools advancing to the FIRST Tech Challenge UIL State Championship in April, according to Dallas ISD’s The Hub. Last year, Woodrow robotics students, the Robocats, participated in the Texas Cup competition.
