Overcoming Payment Challenges: How Waves Audio Streamlined Transactions with BridgerPay
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

For decades, Waves Audio has been a pioneer in audio plugin technology, offering world-class signal processing tools to music producers, sound engineers, and creators across the globe. With its subscription-based business model, Waves Audio ensures customers can seamlessly access its suite of industry-leading plugins. However, as the company expanded its international reach, it faced challenges in its payment processing operations.

From high payment failure rates and limited payment service provider (PSPs) options to manual transaction inefficiencies, Waves Audio needed a smarter approach to managing global payments. Inconsistent approval rates and customer frustration due to failed transactions became roadblocks to growth. The complexity of handling multiple currencies, alternative payment methods, and regional compliance requirements also strained the company’s ability to deliver a frictionless checkout experience.

To overcome these challenges, Waves Audio partnered with BridgerPay, a leader in payment orchestration technology. Through this collaboration, the company has transformed its payment operations for a seamless, secure, and scalable payment experience for customers worldwide.

Challenge #1: High Payment Failure Rates and Customer Frustration

One of Waves Audio’s biggest hurdles was frequent payment failures, especially for recurring subscriptions. Customers using credit cards, PayPal, and other alternative payment methods often faced declined transactions, leading to lost revenue.

BridgerPay’s Bridger Retry™ is an intelligent retry engine that automatically routes failed transactions through alternative PSPs to improve payment approval rates. Instead of declining payments, the system attempts alternative routes to maximize successful transactions.

Challenge #2: Limited Global Payment Coverage

As a company serving customers worldwide, Waves Audio required a payment infrastructure that could handle multiple currencies, local payment methods, and global compliance standards. Relying on a single PSP limited their ability to process payments efficiently across different regions, often leading to higher processing costs and payment restrictions.

By integrating BridgerPay’s omnichannel payment orchestration platform, Waves Audio gained access to multiple PSPs across global markets through a single API. This enabled the company to:

  • Offer localized payment options in different regions
  • Reduce transaction costs by intelligently routing payments to the most efficient PSP
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple countries without additional development efforts

Challenge #3: Manual MOTO Payments and Operational Inefficiencies

Another challenge Waves Audio faced was handling Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) payments manually. Processing these transactions required significant time and resources, slowing down operations and increasing the risk of errors.

BridgerPay automated these MOTO payments, streamlining the process and allowing Waves Audio’s sales and support teams to focus on higher-value tasks rather than manual transaction handling. Thanks to the unified admin interface, the company can seamlessly manage online, in-app, and MOTO payments, creating a more efficient, real-time overview of all transactions.

Challenge #4: A Friction-Filled Checkout Experience

Before partnering with BridgerPay, Waves Audio struggled to deliver a seamless and intuitive checkout experience. Payments were inconsistent, and customers encountered delays or difficulties when completing transactions.

Waves Audio optimized its entire payment process with BridgerPay’s API-driven checkout experience. Now, customers enjoy a faster, more user-friendly checkout. They can select from various payment options, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, and PayPal. Moreover, they had flexibility in subscriptions, whether trials, monthly, or annual plans.

The result is higher conversion rates, fewer abandoned carts, and a smoother customer experience.

A Future-Proof Payment Strategy with BridgerPay

By addressing these critical challenges, BridgerPay has empowered Waves Audio to scale its global payment operations. According to Zohar Niv, CTO of Waves Audio, this partnership has been a game-changer:

“BridgerPay has helped us simplify complex payment workflows and deliver a better experience for our customers. Their flexible and efficient payment orchestration platform aligns perfectly with our business needs.”

BridgerPay’s impact extends beyond technical improvements—it’s about enabling business growth. Ran Cohen, co-founder and CEO of BridgerPay, emphasized the strategic value of payment orchestration:

“At BridgerPay, our mission is to create meaningful impact by delivering real value to our clients. Waves Audio’s success with our platform demonstrates the power of intelligent payment orchestration in reducing costs, improving approval rates, and ultimately enhancing the customer experience.”

For SaaS companies facing similar payment challenges, Waves Audio’s transformation is a clear example of how the right payment orchestration solution can drive efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and maximize revenue potential.
