UniLayer Capital creates $10M VC fund targeting metaverse, Web 3.0
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

UniLayer Capital is launching a venture capital incubation with initial funding of $10 million. The fund will be focused primarily on developing metaverse gaming and cryptocurrency startup projects.

The company is actively investing in startups focusing their business within the Web 3.0 blockchain and metaverse environment. The $10 million venture fund will be fully dedicated to the incubation of projects from motivated entrepreneurs that need capital resources to launch projects and create value.

There is a significant opportunity for seed-phase projects to become big players in the metaverse with the support of incubation programs and funding. UniLayer’s venture-capital funds are used to invest in the next set of compelling businesses within the metaverse space that also have a Web 3.0 (decentralized blockchain)-based business model.

The concept of the metaverse has existed since the early 90s, with computer games such as Second Life. The term became popular during the pandemic lockdowns, and due to a fresh rush of public interest in shared, online spaces. People can connect online in innovative ways, not being confined by physical spaces.

Global conditions enhanced focus and subsequent investment in the development of online solutions for remote work, gaming, entertainment, education, and mid-stage virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) development. While many people associate the metaverse with gaming, it has just as much potential for online work, and more.

The proliferation of both interest and technology in the metaverse brought new life to VR/AR tools. Immersive multimedia platforms for users that could create a digital universe are now in development. With the right vision for the future, early-stage projects may evolve into the next generation of tech leaders.

Fostering new ideas

UniLayer Capital provides a robust platform with UniLayer Launchpad, with all the tools needed for projects and developments to thrive in the expanding blockchain marketplace.

The UniLayer Launchpad is a trustless, decentralized, efficient, transparent way of raising funds for a startup project. It is the appropriate platform for crypto and gaming projects to launch in the Web 3.0 marketplace.

With the newly announced metaverse and Web 3.0 development fund, UniLayer Capital and UniLayer Launchpad are well placed to support early-stage projects and guide them to the marketplace with the funding and industry connections needed to be successful.

A bold worldview

The metaverse promises its users they can do almost anything they imagine. The blending of physical and digital experiences is a growing market, and UniLayer plans to participate via strong investment.

With the support of UniLayer Capital’s forward-thinking team, new projects that fully leverage the potential of the metaverse and Web 3.0 technology can take root in an industry that harbors massive potential for growth.

UniLayer is interested in projects within the metaverse space that lean toward the paradigm of decentralized autonomous organizations. The concept of user-governed platforms via shared ownership is the next level within the VR world.

Digital tools and apps for end-users are shifting their front-end user interface from 2D to 3D, bringing opportunities to new forms of human communication, content creation, collaborative work, community interaction and, of course, wealth and property management.

Together with the metaverse concept, the proliferation of Web 3.0 — which will be powered by the decentralization enabled by crypto and blockchain  — represents the next era. People have shown that they love immersive online spaces, so this fund from UniLayer Capital is hitting the markets at the right time.
