The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at
Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position at
the junior or senior level (Assistant, tenured Associate or Full
Professor rank) in the broadly defined field of robotics.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in engineering or a related subject,
and have a demonstrated record of excellence and (for senior
positions) leadership in research. We seek faculty members who will
create a climate that embraces excellence and diversity, with a
strong commitment to teaching and mentoring.

Princeton SEAS has a long history of leadership in its core
disciplines of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Civil and Environmental
Engineering, Operations Research and Financial Engineering, and
Chemical and Biological Engineering. A major effort is underway to
establish a collaborative, cross-disciplinary community in
robotics, which will lead to new academic opportunities and future
robotic systems that interact with the human-occupied world with
safety and sophistication for the benefit of society. We seek
candidates with the background, expertise, creativity, and passion
to build upon and complement existing strengths in order to lead
Princeton in its efforts to establish inspiring research and
teaching in the rapidly growing field of robotics.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis starting
January 15, 2022. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae,
including a list of publications, a summary of research
accomplishments and future plans, a teaching statement, and contact
information for at least three references online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/23681.
Personal statements that summarize leadership experience and
contributions to diversity are encouraged.

Princeton University is an equal opportunity employer and all
qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment
without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation,
gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected
veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We
welcome applications from members of all underrepresented groups.
This position is subject to the University’s background check
policy.
