Credit.org Celebrates 50 Years of Empowering Financial Well-being

Riverside, CA – June 26, 2024 – Credit.org, a leader in financial counseling and education, is proud to announce the celebration of its 50th anniversary. Since its founding in 1974, Credit.org has been dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve financial stability and success.

Over the past five decades, Credit.org has served millions of clients, delivering essential services such as credit and housing counseling, debt management, and financial education. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, HUD-approved housing counseling agency, and member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, the organization has remained unwavering in its dedication to empowering people toward financial stability and building a secure future.

Celebrating Milestones

In its 50 years, Credit.org has reached several significant milestones:

– Assisted over 5.2 million clients with education and financial counseling to create ongoing financial wellness

– Received more than a dozen national awards in the financial literacy and education field for its accomplishments in pursuit of excellence and promotion of consumer financial health

– Partnered and collaborated with numerous organizations to expand its reach and impact

A Legacy of Impact

“Reaching our 50th anniversary is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and the trust our clients place in us,” said Cyndi Williams, President and CEO of Credit.org. “I would like to acknowledge my immediate predecessor, Todd Emerson, our outgoing President and CEO,” said Williams.

“We are proud of the positive impact we’ve had on so many lives and are committed to continuing our mission for many years to come,” said Todd Emerson.

Looking Forward

As Credit.org looks to the future, the organization plans to expand its services and continue innovating to meet the evolving needs of clients and expand its reach to underserved communities to assist in reaching their financial goals.

The organization recently launched an innovations and technology department to implement new technologies to empower individuals to make informed financial decisions and achieve their financial goals. Credit.org remains at the forefront of financial counseling and education by providing innovative and accessible resources, enhancing client engagement, and delivering personalized support to help individuals and families achieve long-term financial stability and success.
