Bluesound Professional unveils new ceiling-convertible-to-pendant speakers, expanding lineup of premium commercial-grade audio products
Orlando, Florida – June 8, 2023 – Bluesound Professional, the premium distributed audio ecosystem for commercial spaces, is excited to announce two new versatile ceiling speakers at Infocomm 2023 ahead of the public release. The BCS250 and BCS300 are passive and active PoE ceiling speakers that can be installed as in-ceiling speakers or with an optional conversion package, become pendant speakers. The BCS250 is a passive ceiling speaker designed for both low impedance and constant voltage applications, while the BCS300 expands Bluesound Professional’s PoE speaker line as a network streaming ceiling speaker with integrated streaming and amplification. Both ceiling speaker designs can be easily adapted into a point-centered hanging pendant speaker using the optional Pendant Kit attachment, a highly versatile addition that delivers unparalleled flexibility for installers. Demonstrations of the BCS250 and BCS300 Ceiling Speakers will run in Booth #4960 at the InfoComm show from June 14-16, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. The BCS250 and BCS300 ceiling speakers and their corresponding accessories will be available in Black and White finishes. Stock availability will begin in November 2023.

BCS250 Passive Ceiling Speaker
The BCS250 is a premium passive commercial-grade ceiling speaker, specifically designed for both low impedance and constant voltage scenarios. With a discreet flush mounted design, the BCS250 is ideal for environments where wall space is limited such as small cafés and shops, as well as a wide range of retrofit and new build applications. The low impedance option delivers better audio quality overall, while the constant voltage option is ideal for daisy chained speaker configurations. With a high-performance build, including a UL 2043 plenum rating, the BCS250 is fully certified for commercial builds. Additionally, the optional pendant kit offers the flexibility to suspend the BCS250 from the ceiling at a lower height if there are no suitable mounting options available at the typical height. The BCS250 is designed to work in conjunction with the B170S Networked Streaming Stereo Amplifier, offering both low impedance and constant voltage settings (70/100V).

BCS300 Network Streaming Ceiling Speaker
The BCS300 is a seamlessly integrated, all-in-one ceiling or hanging pendant speaker solution featuring a built-in music streamer and amplifier. Using power over ethernet technology, it efficiently delivers audio to its desired destination in a discreet and simplified manner, requiring only a single ethernet cable connection to deliver both power and network connection. Unlike traditional setups, this decentralized solution eliminates the need for an audio rack, functioning as an independent unit. Moreover, its flush mounted design allows it to seamlessly blend with any interior design or décor. Its high-performance build includes a UL 2043 plenum rating, fully certifying it for commercial installation. The optional pendant kit allows the BCS300 to be ceiling suspended and allows positioning of speakers at a lower height if there is nothing available to mount it at a typical height, especially in the case of exposed ceilings. Based on the award-winning BluOS multi-room platform, the BCS300 enables multi-zone control, speaker grouping and integrated networked music streaming from Bluesound Professional’s business music partners: SoundMachine, Qsic, Custom Channels and SiriusXM Music for Business.

Optional Accessories
Pendant Kit
The optional pendant kit allows the BCS250 and BCS300 to be transformed into a point-centered hanging pendant design, providing installers with ultimate flexibility to interchange between the two mounting options to accommodate for any type of infrastructure. Featuring an elegant, lamp-shaped enclosure, the pendant design can serve as a hanging fixture in scenarios where audio needs to be brought closer to a listening height, especially in the case of high and/or exposed ceilings. The Pendant Kit will be available in both Matte Black and Matte White finishes and each kit will include a hook, cap and pendant housing. The Black Pendant Kit will also include a Black grille.
