The design of a smart urinal for immediate urinalysis, by the company Kamleon, is the winner of the Allianz Startup Challenge, organized by the Barça Innovation Hub and the Allianz insurance company that invited individual entrepreneurs and businesspeople to present ideas and projects aimed at improving athlete performance.
The winner was chosen this Monday at the last day of the Business Track of the Sports Tomorrow Congress (WOM+N) 2021, at which the six finalists in a contest that started last October 6 were presented.
The Kamleon project was named the winner for having best fulfilled the criteria of scalability, solidity, social impact, degree of technological innovation and differential value as established the competition regulations. The winner gets a cheque for 5,000 euros to promote and implement the project.
The other finalists were a product for cyclist safety, a biomarker that monitors fatigue through sweat, an application uses a photograph to provide nutritional information, a personalised training method, and a blockchain-based platform to manage player transfers in the field of e-sports.
This BIHUB and Allianz program is part of the renewed partnership agreement between FC Barcelona and Allianz by which the insurance company has, since last July, been a Global Partner of the Club and which also foresees the implementation of different projects in strategic areas, such as the Barça Foundation, Barça Academy and Barça Innovation Hub.
