2025 Emerging Study AI QSRs

As the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry continues to evolve, technology adoption is shaping how brands deliver faster and more accurate service. On October 20, 2025, Hi Auto announced the release of its Buyer’s Guide for QSRs, a resource aimed at helping restaurant leaders make informed decisions when adopting AI order-taking systems.

With AI order takers now a key driver of performance across drive-thru operations, Hi Auto’s guide arrives at a time when many brands are searching for clarity. The company’s mission is to equip operators with the knowledge to evaluate AI vendors based on performance, scalability, and long-term reliability.

Delivering Consistency and Speed in Every Drive-Thru Interaction

AI Drive-Thru Post

Over the past year, many top QSR brands and franchise operators have accelerated their use of AI-driven order takers to improve throughput, reduce wait times, and enhance customer experience. According to Hi Auto, the most meaningful transformation happens at the front line, where customers experience smoother, more consistent service.

“The drive-thru AI Order Taker simplifies and standardizes the entire drive-thru experience,” said Roy Baharav, CEO and co-founder at Hi Auto. “Guests receive clear communication and consistent service no matter which lane or location they visit. The right AI system can even support loyalty programs and help create more personalized experiences.”

Helping Operators Make Smarter Technology Investments

Hi Auto’s Buyer’s Guide was developed as a straightforward, data-driven tool for decision-makers evaluating voice AI solutions. It explains the essential features and capabilities that determine how well a system performs at scale. The guide breaks down complex concepts such as natural language processing, systems integration, and vendor credibility into actionable insights.

It also includes an Evaluation Matrix, designed to help QSR leaders compare potential vendors using measurable performance indicators such as completion rate and accuracy. This structured approach gives restaurant operators a clear framework for selecting AI solutions that can sustain high performance across multiple locations.

Mastering Accuracy in the Most Challenging Environments

Few operating environments are as complex as a drive-thru lane. Car noise, background chatter, and multiple speakers can interfere with even the best AI systems. Hi Auto’s Buyer’s Guide stresses the importance of evaluating completion rate and accuracy, two key metrics that reveal how well an AI order taker performs in real-world conditions.

Hi Auto consistently reports over 93 percent order completion and 96 percent accuracy across nearly 1,000 drive-thrus worldwide, exceeding the performance benchmarks achieved by many competitors. A 2025 report by InTouch Insight found that other fully automated systems at national chains achieved only 67 to 70 percent completion, demonstrating the value of hybrid systems like Hi Auto’s.

Scaling Reliability with Hybrid and Enterprise-Level AI Systems

While pilot programs can demonstrate promise, scaling AI solutions across hundreds of stores is a far greater challenge. Hi Auto’s Buyer’s Guide highlights the advantages of hybrid systems that combine automation with real-time human monitoring, ensuring consistent accuracy as operations grow.

The guide also details the enterprise-grade requirements that large brands need to succeed, including POS and menu board integration, real-time analytics, and franchise-level customization. Hi Auto’s proven presence across the U.S., U.K., New Zealand, and Australia reflects its ability to deliver enterprise-ready AI systems that enhance both performance and guest experience.

Hi Auto Shapes the Future of Drive-Thru Voice AI

The rapid rise of automation in the restaurant industry shows no signs of slowing, and voice AI is now central to that evolution. With its new Buyer’s Guide, Hi Auto reinforces its position as the global leader in drive-thru AI, offering clarity and expertise to restaurant operators seeking sustainable growth.

By combining technology, operational insight, and real-world experience, Hi Auto helps QSRs deliver the speed and consistency customers expect. For brands investing in their future, Hi Auto’s message is clear: success in the drive-thru begins with the right partner.
