Introducing KANEYAMA & INKU Cup Udon Noodles: A Fusion of Taste and Health, Launching in Kroger in Q4 2023

The COVID-19 era brought about transformative changes across various sectors, and unsurprisingly, the food industry felt its ripple effects. With the rise of remote working during this period, a notable surge in the demand for convenient food solutions was observed in online and brick-and-motor spaces.

Among these, noodle products are the quintessential go-to choice for affordability and accessibility. While the past saw a dominance of pouch-packed noodles, the present market is captivated by the allure of cup noodles – the epitome of instant gratification. Recognizing this shift, KANEYAMA is proud to unveil its latest creation: the KANEYAMA Cup Udon Noodles, developed to serve a diverse audience with an emphasis on good ingredients and flavor.

While at first glance, KANEYAMA Cup Udon Noodles may resemble the familiar instant cup ramen, but they offer a distinctive edge. Unlike the commonplace deep-fried noodles, their Ambient Fresh Udon Noodles are delicately boiled in water. This careful preparation preserves their authentic taste and positions them as new noodles alternative in the convenience food arena.

Preparation is as effortless as it gets. Add hot water to the indicated line, wait for a brief 2-3 minutes, and have a delightful meal ready to savor. Additionally, with a 12-month shelf life at ambient temperatures, these noodles ensure longevity without compromising quality.

In an age where the global appetite for Korean culture – from K-pop to K-dramas – is insatiable, the allure of Korean street food is naturally gaining traction. “Through our strategic partnership with Kroger, we’re thrilled to offer Americans a taste of udon, a cherished staple of Korean street cuisine”, KANEYAMA explained.

Another brand ‘INKU Cup Udon Noodles’ will grace the shelves of Kroger stores starting from the fourth quarter of this year. With plans to broaden their distribution network, KANEYAMA commit themselves to make their culinary delight accessible to consumer coast to coast.
