Curi Bio

$10.0M – Series A

Seattle-based Curi Bio is integrating human iPSC-derived cells, tissue-specific biosystems, and AI-enabled data analytics of new therapeutics. Founded by Elliot Fisher in 2015, Curi Bio has now raised a total of $16.0M in total equity funding and is backed by DS Asset Management, Dynamk Capital, and UTC Investment.

NowRx is disrupting the $480B retail pharmacy industry with unheard of personalized service and free same-day pharmacy delivery.

The company uses its “QuickFill” proprietary pharmacy software and robotics to automate prescription dispensing and reduce common service failures that result in bad experiences for customers (insurance errors, out-of-stock, etc.).

Oh, and they operate at a fraction of the cost of major retail chains – talk about efficiency!

In 2020, the company saw revenue jump 90% YoY and this year they’re on pace to surpass more than $22M in revenue. With their newest telehealth product growing 73% MoM and a share price that has increased by 1,650% since 2016 – this is an investment you don’t want to miss out on.

Paradox

$200.0M – Series C

Scottsdale-based Paradox is an AI company that helps companies capture and screen candidates, improve conversions, and answer all candidate questions. Founded by Aaron Matos and Olivia Matos in 2016, Paradox has now raised a total of $253.3M in total equity funding and is backed by Blue Cloud Ventures, Brighton Park Capital, DLA Piper, Geodesic Capital, Indeed, Principia Growth, Sapphire, Stripes, Thoma Bravo, Twilio, Willoughby Capital, and Workday Ventures.

Founded by Amaury Soviche and Filip Victor in 2017, MetaMap has now raised a total of $86.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Alameda Research, Craft Ventures, Jerry Murdock, Titan Capital, and Tribe Capital.

VLP Therapeutics

$21.0M – Series A

Gaithersburg-based VLP is a biotech company with a mission to address unmet medical needs worldwide and expand the frontiers of vaccine treatment. Founded by Kei Tolliver, Ryuji Ueno, Sachiko Kuno, and Wataru Akahata in 2012, VLP Therapeutics has now raised a total of $37.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Miyako Capital, MUFG Bank, Nobelpharma, Robert Hisaoka, SK Impact Fund, and Sojitz.
