This Guy Built A $100 Million Startup Empire Selling Weed: Here’s How
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Marijuana is an emerging industry in most parts of the world as legalisation becomes the norm. The herb’s acceptance is changing the mainstream perception of the misunderstood plant – which has been falsely categorised in the same category as dangerous drugs like cocaine, crystal meth, and others.

This guy has made a fortune from selling weed over the last five years. With “Unrivaled Brands,” Colin Landforce offers the “next generation of cannabis products and experiences” to anyone aged above 21.

5 years ago I left my job to start selling weed with some guys I grew up with. Our first year we sold $1.2M to dispensaries a pound at a time.

Now we’re publicly traded and we’ll do $130M in 2022.

In a Tweet posted on December 27, Landforce revealed that he left his job five years to “start selling weed with some guys I grew up with.” In the first year, they sold pot worth $1.2 million to marijuana dispensaries “a pound at a time.”

From nothing to a $100 million company

In 2021, Unrivaled Brands is publicly traded and the company will “do $130 million in 2022”. In a Twitter thread, the cannabis maestro explained how he achieved the fantastic feat.

Landforce’s friends were “flipping packs to dispensaries” in a rented 800 sq ft garage when he left his job to “build a business out of the hustle.”

I left my job and partnered with them to build a business out of the hustle.

We knew if we had network of stores, we could sell in anything, so we used bulk flower to build that channel.pic.twitter.com/plgX84dRdI

The company went public in March 2021 via 50/50 merged “with pubco Terra Tech.” This brought “cultivation, more retail, a war chest, and a public vehicle.” The combined company marked the birth of Unrivaled Brands Inc – one of the “publicly traded cannabis companies with a presence in California.”

Landforce also used his thread to shine light on those spending time in jail due to cannabis-related offences in the US – most of them Black Americans.

The $100 million+ marijuana empire built by Landforce is a sign of the times, with consumption of pot being normalised like alcohol. The herb offers a variety of benefits to people with chronic pain, anxiety, and other ailments.

We’re one of the few publicly traded cannabis companies with a presence in California, and we’re focused on the west coast.

The cannabis brands of the future will be born out of the culture here.

We’re traded on OTCQX under the ticker $UNRV.

Also: West coast best coast!
