KCRA 3 asked how Amazon is addressing those concerns.”The health and safety of our employees is absolutely number one,” Wolfrom said.One issue brought up by workers is not enough time for bathroom breaks.”There are actually bathrooms located literally all over so they’re definitely welcome to use the restroom when they want,” Wolfrom said.The company also shared that they have invested $10 billion to keep employees safe during the pandemic. Last year, Amazon agreed to pay $500,000 to better enforce state consumer protection laws, after California’s attorney general said the company concealed COVID-19 case numbers from its workers. “Amazon always wants to be a partner within the community. It’s not just about getting packages out, it’s more than that, it’s having great associates,” Gunnell said.Amazon is hiring workers in Modesto, Stockton, Tracy and Sacramento.
