The advertising technology industry is increasingly embracing AI not just as an optimization tool, but as a way to simplify how marketers interact with complex platforms. Perion is the latest company to advance that trend with the launch of Ask Perion, a new agentic interface designed to help marketers move from campaign planning to performance analysis through conversational AI.
Available within the Perion One platform and through a newly introduced mobile app, Ask Perion combines campaign intelligence with media planning capabilities in what the company describes as the first phase of a broader self-service execution strategy.
Addressing the Complexity of Modern Campaigns
As advertising budgets spread across connected TV, retail media, digital video, social platforms, and other channels, marketers have gained access to more campaign data than ever before. The challenge, however, has shifted from collecting information to making sense of it quickly enough to improve results.
Many marketing teams still depend on multiple dashboards, manual reporting, and disconnected planning tools to manage campaigns, creating delays between identifying an opportunity and acting on it.
Perion’s new platform aims to reduce those bottlenecks by allowing users to ask questions in plain language instead of navigating multiple interfaces.
The system consists of two AI-powered components. The Insights Agent provides immediate answers to campaign performance questions, covering areas such as spending, pacing, delivery, creative effectiveness, and channel performance. The Planning Agent, meanwhile, translates marketing briefs into structured omnichannel media plans designed around campaign objectives, helping marketers accelerate the planning process.
By combining those capabilities in a single interface, the platform seeks to reduce the operational complexity associated with managing cross-channel advertising campaigns.
AI That Extends Beyond the Desktop
Alongside the platform release, Perion introduced the Ask Perion Mobile App, debuting at Cannes Lions 2026. It enables marketers to access the same planning and analytical capabilities from mobile devices.
The app allows users to review campaign performance, generate media plans, and retrieve marketing intelligence regardless of location. As enterprise software continues shifting toward more flexible work environments, mobile access has become an increasingly important feature for professionals who need to respond to campaign developments in real time.
Rather than functioning as a companion application, the mobile experience mirrors the capabilities available within Perion One, giving users a consistent AI-driven workflow across devices.
Supporting a Self-Service Future
The launch also reflects Perion’s broader business strategy.
The company views Ask Perion as an important milestone in its transition toward a self-service operating model, one intended to streamline campaign execution for customers while improving internal efficiency. By enabling marketers to independently create media plans and analyze campaign performance, Perion expects to reduce operational overhead and accelerate campaign delivery.
Commenting on the launch, Tal Jacobson, CEO of Perion, said the company is focused on making sophisticated advertising technology easier to use. “Ask Perion is another step we’re taking to serve marketers worldwide and help them reach their goals with minimum effort,” he said, describing the platform as “a fundamental shift in how marketers interact with their campaigns, moving from navigating complex platforms to simply asking questions and generating instant plans.”
Jacobson added that the release represents “a significant step forward in our ongoing journey toward a self-serve execution model.” He said the continued evolution of Perion One will allow clients to improve ROI more quickly while helping the company streamline operations, build a more scalable revenue model, and advance the growth and efficiency objectives outlined in its 2028 strategy.
Reflecting a Broader AI Evolution
Perion’s latest release comes as software providers increasingly reposition AI as the primary interface for enterprise applications rather than a feature operating behind the scenes.
Instead of requiring users to manually assemble reports or navigate multiple systems, conversational AI is emerging as a way to connect campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis within a single workflow.
With Ask Perion, Perion is joining a growing group of technology companies seeking to redefine how marketers engage with advertising platforms. As AI continues to reshape enterprise software, tools that transform complex marketing tasks into simple conversations are likely to play an increasingly prominent role in omnichannel campaign management.
