Following a two-year hiatus, the Northwest Arkansas Startup Crawl is returning to downtown Fayetteville, live and in-person on Friday, April 8. The fourth annual festival will celebrate the region’s budding entrepreneurial community by bringing together startups, live music and locally brewed beer.
Launched in 2017, the “Biggest Startup Party in Arkansas” has connected thousands of people from the Northwest Arkansas community to the region’s most exciting innovators, founders and creatives over a shared interest in local startups, craft beer and live music. The event grew from a few hundred attendees in 2017 to more than 1,800 in 2019, before the cancellation of last year’s in-person event.
“After a couple of COVID-19 cancelations, we are so excited to bring this event back and bring together some of Northwest Arkansas’ most innovative startups to one, central location where the community can learn from and engage with founders during Arkansas’ biggest startup party,” said Caleb Talley, Startup Junkie executive director.
The festivities will kick off on the downtown Fayetteville square. Each crawl stop will be paired with a local brewery, leading attendees to the Pryor Center at 1 East Center Street, where dozens of Arkansas-based startups will be set up to meet
and greet.
In addition to the opportunity to meet with some of the region’s most exciting startup founders, attendees will be able to enjoy live musical performances and multiple beer garden locations.
“We wouldn’t be able to carry out such an awesome event if it weren’t for the support of our financial sponsors, program collaborators, and the founders willing to take the time to showcase their hard work,” said Talley. “As we work to nail down details for this year’s event, we are continuing to look for anyone interested in sponsoring this event, participating as a vendor, or exhibiting as a startup.”
This year’s media sponsor is NWA Daily, a fast-growing daily email newsletter founded and led by Northwest Arkansas natives. Cox Communications serves as a marquee sponsor of the event. Additional sponsors include beer garden sponsors WLJ Tech Law and Teslar; cup sponsor SupplyPike; stage sponsor Tobacco Super Store; water sponsor First Security Bank; and beer stop sponsors Signature Bank, WeWork Labs, Encore Bank, AcreTrader, and Science Venture Studio.
Additional information regarding stops, startups, music and more will be released in the coming days and weeks. Anyone interested in sponsoring, serving as a stop on the crawl or featuring a startup at the Startup Crawl mega-location, email [email protected] or [email protected].
